Block Art Gallery

Block Art Gallery

Every block mined by GorillaPool is commemorated with a unique piece of generative art, inscribed on-chain as a 1Sat Ordinal in the pool payout transaction. Our first collection is Gorilla Canopy — a fractal tree whose shape, color, and style are derived entirely from the block itself. The renderer is deterministic: every run on the same block produces the exact same SVG.

  • Jungle Canopy — the everyday tree, unique but familiar
  • Windswept · Canopy Aurora — high-effort grind or instant strike
  • Canopy Bloom · Golden Lightning — brutal grinds or luckiest finds
  • Frozen Ghost · Canopy Network — orphan rebirths or 4+ block streaks
  • Canopy Silhouette — milestones, halvings, historic firsts

Plus a physics-based bonus: when a block's hash lands unusually far under the difficulty target, a faint cosmic shimmer appears around the canopy. Pure luck — you can't grind for it.

How the art is built

Every piece of art is built from the block it represents. Input data from the block is fed to an on-chain SVG generator to produce the art. The block hash fingerprints the color palette and the RNG. The nonce positions the hero element. The merkle root shapes the branches. The block size sets the trunk girth. Transaction count scales the canopy density. Difficulty drives the atmosphere. Timestamp shifts the sky hue. The winning miner's address tints one distinctive element — firefly, leaf, aurora band, lightning strike, crown lantern — so if you found the block, your color is in the tree. Effort picks the tier, streak length grows the ornaments, and leading zeros past the target sprinkle a rare cosmic shimmer.
